Terms of service

These are the terms for using LandedLlama. They are short because the service is simple: we give you an estimate, you decide what to do with it.
What the service is
LandedLlama calculates estimated US import duties, fees and trade-action layers from published tariff data, and shows the legal basis for each line so you can check it yourself.
Estimates, not customs advice
Every figure here is an estimate produced automatically from published US Harmonized Tariff Schedule data and related notices. It is not a legal determination of duty owed, and we are not customs brokers. Tariff law changes constantly and a given shipment may be affected by measures, exclusions or programs not reflected here. Before relying on a number for a real entry, verify the classification and rate with a licensed customs broker or with US Customs and Border Protection. We accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of these estimates.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it. One account is for one person or one company — do not share credentials.
Fair use
Use the site normally: through the interface or the documented API, at a human pace. Do not scrape it wholesale, do not try to get around the free-plan limits, do not attempt to break into it or disrupt it for others, and do not resell the results as if they were your own product without telling us.
Free and paid plans
The free plan includes a limited number of calculations per day; the current limits are shown on the pricing page. When paid plans are available, the price, billing period and what is included are stated at checkout, payments are handled by Stripe, and you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Availability
We keep the tariff data current automatically and aim to keep the site up, but this is a service offered as is: there is no uptime guarantee, and data can lag behind an official publication.
Content
The tariff schedule and government notices are public documents. The site, its wording, its curated product mapping and its brand are ours; the results you generate are yours to use in your own business.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or that puts the service at risk, and we will say why when we do.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and material changes are announced by email to account holders.
